There are three main abiotic factors that effect my plant. The first abiotic factors are water. Water is very important to a plants life since without it, it cannot grow. The second abiotic factor is sunlight, sunlight is the main component to a plants growth. The plant uses photosynthesis in order to convert sunlight in to glucose or sugar. The third abiotic factor is soil. soil contains nutrients, minerals, and provides a space for the plants' roots. The main biotic factor to my plant is competition with other plants such as grass, the other broccoli type plants, and weeds. this effects them because they may gain height advantage over my plant, causing them not to get as much sunlight. In order to infer which plant is "winning" or which plant is "losing" than you would mainly just have to figure out if it is growing and if other plants are growing faster. A plant may be getting just enough sunlight to live and not grow too much. Other bugs or critters may attempt monching on the plant which would cause it to lose mass. Secondary succession is taking place in the garden and one example is that before we planted the seeds, the garden was mainly just dirt and wood chips. Now that we have planted the seeds, there is more growth such as grass, weeds, and the plants we grew.

1) A plant would be getting bigger and adding biomass mainly using photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Cellular respiration and mainly ...
